Question about 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser Touring Hatchback

Part of the axle is stuckin the transmission on drivers side. when i was pulling the axle out of my 2007 pt cruiser it broke off at the boot by the transmission and i dont know how to pull it out.

You have to put a prybar between the joint and the transmission and pry it out. It is held in with a circlip, it will pop out

Usually there are two fuse boxes. One located under the hood which is labeled, the other is under a panel on the side of the dash which is concealed when the drivers side door is closed.

Removing front axle from 01 ford focus. axle broke apart at rear boot, leaving part of axle in transmission. How can I get it out?


is the inside CV joint housing still there, or is it just the shaft with the splines left in the trans?

I googled your codes didn't get much info. I'd try to check with dealer. They may say $100. to diagnose.

check the bulbs the filiments could be broke, do you have a third brake lightand is it working this will help rule out a brake switch

Replacing Alternator For 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser (Manual)


this instruction is general for all vehicles. i am sorry that i do not have particularly for your 2001 chrysler PT cruiser.

first, identify the alternator.
remove the fan belt on the alternator,
label and remove all wires that is attached to it.
remove all bolts that is holding it.
remove the old alternator.

do the reverse on installing it.
