If you are carburated, look at your fuel filter and fuel strainer. Strainer is in the tank and is most ellusive to diagnose....

05 jeep grand cherokee 5.7 liter stalls while driving why ?

Does it stall going down the highway or idle, maybe both? How long since a tune-up? Any applicable trouble codes? Does it stall cold or hot? Once it stalls does it restart quickly, I just wondered if it gives you enough time to do some testing? Some of the national brand auto stores will check p0 codes for free, if there are any.

I don't think the fuel pump. Sounds like the crank position sensor. That, or the camshaft position sensor. The computer uses the cam position sensor to know when to pulse the injectors. The crank position sensor provides the information for spark timing. If the sensor fails, the computer won't signal the ignition module to create spark from the coils. Crank sensor failure is pretty common on earlier jeeps.

Misfiring and stalling

check fuel filter if it runs good and only acts up on sudden increase in speed then I would say fuel related for sure, have fuel pressure at rail and see what it is.
