WEll, yes you could, but WHY? The engine management system on that vehicle needs to be able to change the misture. You will have error codes that won't quit.

You would likely not meet emission standards testing..

Fix the EFI. Your engine will last TONS longer than with a carb.

What causes a 94 suburban 1500 to cut off while driving, stopping or turning. Done change the fuel filter, pump. Ignition coil, plugs, wires, regulator, battery. What could be the problem?

I would guess fuel problem.

I can't tell from the Internet if your suburban is injected or has a carburetor. If it has a carburetor, the bowl is too full and overflows on turns etc. Replace it with a rebuilt one. If injected, look for a fault shutting off the injectors.

Good luck. Sorry I can't be more helpful.

94 jetta sputters whenever I'm not stomping on the gas. I have tried everything I can think of. now it's so bad it doesn't want to start or drive.

take you car to the parts store ask them scan your car using the computer the one that check the computer of the car and it will diagnose the problem, most auto part store will do it for free. and if you. do you have fuel injector or carburetor, if you have a carburetor than you need to rebuild the carburetor, and you buy the kits at most auto parts store. if you have fuel injection the run fuel injection cleaner not cheap stuff go stuff, octane booster may also help, it sound like float issue , you may want ask where float controller is located and find out how to repair or resolve that problem. it also a pick up issue ask the part guy at the auto part store.

My 91 honda accord is very slow at take off, no smoke, new plugs and wires and timing belt

Is it a carburetor or fuel injected model?
Did the slow take off occur before or after you changed the plugs, wires, and timing belt?

If it started after plugs, wires, and timing belt, I tend to believe the timing relationship between the cam and crank has changed (cam and crank are not timed together properly, off by a tooth or two). Unfortunately you will need to partly tear into it again to verify the timing marks used when the timing belt is changed are perfectly aligned.

Starts-runs-loses power. Set period time-Starts-runs-loses - power. Possible do away with computer and/or air control. Change carburetor ? JDW

91 model should have fuel injection, not carb. Start with the simple stuff. Fuel filter, Oxygen sensor or fuel pump.
If it is carburator it sounds like sticking choke,

91 z34 idlestoo fast. replaced tps, iav, and map sensors. no change. obd wont read a signal.

If car has a carburetor instead of fuel injection, lokk down into the throat of the carburetor and see if you can see small amount of fuel dripping, if so the needle and seat inside the caruretor are probably dirty and stuck, causing you the problem. Could also have a vacuum hose off or cracked/broken.

91 vw jetta diesel ran out of fuel

At the rear of the injection pump there are four lines, each goes to an injector. loosen the flare nut at just one injector. crank the engine over until you see fuel spitting out. Close the fuel line, vehicle should be running. If not then its something else check the fuel filter, fuel shut-off, and check for any fuel leaks.

Tune up and clean the throttle plate

Ford is notorius for bad breathing. There EGR system is terrible, it always causes a lot of carbon build up in the throttle plates. The best thing to do, is to take of the throttle body assembly and digg out the carbon thats restricting the air flow. Also, it is a good rule or thumb to clean the throttle plate with carb & throttle cleaner with a tooth brush. Add a bottle of fuel injector cleaner to a full tank of gas. While your doing all this you might as well change the EGR valve. If you follow the air intake pipe from the air filter box, it should lead you to the throttle body assembly. The EGR valve is located on the passenger side by the fire wall underneath the heater hoses and AC lines. Good luck, Ford engineers must have been drinking when they designed their vehicles, they don't make anything easy.
