Hi i have ust got into my Volvo v50 and my clutch pedle is on the floor it was fine on satuarday

Could be slave cylinder. Look under car where it was last parked for fresh fluid on ground. Also look under hood for resivor. Should be 2 looking a lot alike. One for brakes and other for clutch. Owners manual will show them.

Where is the clutch auto adjustment located at on a 98 manual Volkswagen jetta?

you most likely have a hydraulic clutch, which the clutch master cylinder is located on the firewall on the driverside close to your drivers side windsheild.it takes brake fluid to fill dot brake fluid will fill it properly. however if your slave cylinder on the transmission is leaking, this will require a replacement of the clutch slave cylinder. look for leakage under passenger side,,just under or below passenger side seat onto ground. recommend if you replace the clutch slave cylinder, you also replace clutch master cylinder located on the drivers side firewall at wind sheild.look under the car while someone pumps the clutch in and out,if you see brake fluid leaking under car onto ground or inside onto carpet at brake pedal, you have a bad clutch master cylinder. recommend you replace both slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder. this will save you lots of time and headaches. thank you for choosing fixya.com

I just replace my front brake lines and when i went to bleed the brakes I saw fluid coming from aline that was going to the back of the jeep. It was along the frame and was plastic JW

There should be NO brake lines that are plastic. What the plastic line may be for is fuel, fuel return or the Evap system.
And I have seen where those lines will devolpe a leak from a pin hole, crack, split, O-rings in the ends.

A manual transmission could also have a plastic line from the clutch master to the clutch slave. So if you have a manual and it was brake fluid you saw leaking from it that could be it as the Hydraulic clutches use brake fluid in the system.

Hard to shift gears from shifter. Can go to transmission and shift easily.

loose or mis adjusted shifter cable to your transmission. usually, they break. stretched shifter cable? possible. manual transmission? did not specify. automatic? suggest cable problem, loose cable at some point, look with 2 people to see where the cables jumping during the shifting process. manual? suugest a bad or going bad slave cylinder on the side of the transmission,or low fluid to the clutch master cylinder.is the clutch pedal weak? or just goes to floor and will not come back up? this is sign of leaking clutch master cylinder, bad clutch master cylinder. or both. see brake fluid on ground under the car after you pump the clutch several times? either a bad clutch master cylinder,on the firewall, drivers side, just under the windsheild,or a bad slave cylinder on the side on the transmission under the car on the transmission. suggest that you look for fluid leakage. follow the trail of fluid to the source.

I'am guessing it is a manual trans with internal damage. Yes,if so,it will have to come out and be disassembled to find cause. With clutch work, your looking at around $3000.00.

Rebuild Trans
Maybe a couple new sensors
Machine Flywheel
New clutch
New clutch slave

ECU-should be okey

I have a 1998 nissan 300zx My clutch is not working

if it suddenly failed then is probally a hydraulic problem, check for fluid in the master cylinder mounted to the firewall, id the small round one, if its empty, fill it with brake fluid and will need to bleed the system, there is a bleed fitting on the side of the gearbox and a secret one hinding in a supid place on the front strut tower, if you bleed both of these the hydralulic system should work.
If the flud is ok, then the clutch itself is prob stuffed and will require gearbox removal to replace it.

Hi, A 94 t-bird with only 92 K , the notorious tranny shudder and falling into neutral symptons.

I had one of these cars and loved it - this is happening around 45 - 55 mph trying to go into overdrive, you have to change the fluid and filter, those tranny's MUST have their flud changed every 9-12000 miles, make sure you drain the torque converter as well when changing the fluid, the gasket on the pan is reuseable - replace the fluid with this mix - half B&M trick shift which helps preserve the bands and clutches and what not - the rest just use a good brand of DEX MERC, happy motoring
