'98 VW Cabrio not shifting. List of codes below but are all related to shift solenoid A-E Should I just replace the solenoid?

basically all of the codes refer to the solenoid
check all wiring and connections for corrosion, check the condition of the oil as it may be well overdue for a change
remember that solenoids get the power from the transmission control module(TCM), the Transmission ratio(TR) sensor m) and the VSS ( vehicle speed sensor )
all of these play a part in making the solenoid work at h right time
I would suggest that you spend time discussing the problem and the codes with a professional transmission repair shop just to expand on the manuals limited information

Mers. E320 1997 i got those codes P0743, P0753, P0763 and P0758

This is a wiring problem you have a loose connector at the ECT control module or connector at the transmission, the solution is make proper connection and this is a common problem, that or you have a bad conductor plate in the transmission. Go to the right rear of the engine compartment ensure you connection for the transmission module is all hook up, go to the transmission and ensure nothing at the harness is disconnected

I have an 02 Mitsubishi Lancer OZ. Transmission seems stuck on 3rd gear and slow on reverse.Scanner reads codes: P0753-P0758-P0763-P0768. They all read shift selenoid (A or B orC orD)Circuit Electrical....

hi it sounds like a solinoid shift problem you need to check them out individually to see which one is the culprit as it is unlikley it will be more than one if they are all ok then you have a wiring problem that will need to be traced back till you find the break yates210456
