OK, sounds like a stuck down float problem.
Need a carburetor rebuild to get at the float.

I have a 50 cc scooter 4 stroke i have replaced starter, battery, carb, ignition coil, cdi, intake valve and springs, it jumped time on a test run after replacing carb,

If it is firing and the spark is good it has to be the fuel system. Check the carb you just put in(make sure the gaskets are sealing and all the air ventilation holes are not clogged). also the air intake system. It is usually located around the carb connected to a hose or other rubber related system. You may have a leak somewhere. All you are getting is fuel and no air to balance out the fuel.

EZGO 4 stroke petrol engined golf cart how do you service it

Change air filter, oil, spark plug, cable to battery, When changing the oil, there is no need for a new filter. Just wash the old one with carb clean. Held in by 3 small bolts beside the drain plug. Check the rear end oil (90 weight) use the upper plug. Fill till it runs out. Grease the front end. Change the fuel filter. Drain the carb if it is going to sit thru the winter.

mcdevito75 here, Nice work, fixing your toyota, , Your old carb. had 3 hoses the new only 2, 1 of these hoses most likely goes to the egr vave, the other 2 may go thru the firewall to the heater control. Here"s what to do, follow each of these rubber hoses to where they go if I'm right you still need 3 ports on your new carb. to supply vacumn to the units these hoses are attached to, only problem is you have 2 ports and not 3 on this new carb. At your auto supply store by a T to place in 1 of these vacumn lines so as to have hoses going in 3 directions or to 3 units while only have 2 ports on the carb. With this plastic T cut 1 of the hoses, place the T in the spliced hose then on the T's 3rd side, hook back up to carb. Now you have 3 hoses feeding off 2 ports from the carb. Hope this helps.

I have 88 Honda Accord with a carb.that chokes itself out within 20 to thirty seconds after start up when cold or hot. Noticed that fan has not been coming on.

The carb bowl is overflowing usually caused by a bad needle and seat. The needle is attached to the float and is pushed into a rubber seat as the float level rise to stip filling the carb bowl. Yous has stopped seating so the carb is over flowing and choking out your car.
These carbs are a nightmare to disassemble and reassemble. Even as a seasoned mech I hate messing with them. Even if you take it to a shop for repair they are going to tell you that you need a rebuilt carb due to the labor cost in man hours of fixing the old one is nearly as much as getting a rebuilt carb and installing it.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but either way the repair cost is a wash.

As for the fan not coming on.. find the round switch with two teminals coming off of it that is screwed into your radiator. Disconnect the wires from the switch, turn on the key and then short the chassis wires with a jumper and the fan motor should run. (you might have to start the engine!) But the fan should run. If it does the radiator temp switch is bad. If it doesn't run you need to check for 12VDC on one of the 2 wires. No 12VDC = fuse problem or wiring problem.

Wont start after 6 mos. I changed the spark plug, drained & added fresh gas, checked the fuel filter... Kicks over fine. Ran for 4 seconds, then it died. Always ran & started great before.

With a new plug and fresh gas it should start. Check to make sure there isn't a kill switch turned off or that the gas petcock from the tank to the carb is on.

How did you check the fuel filter? Disconnecting it from the fuel line that goes to the carb is the best way, making sure the gas is turned on under the tank. Bleed off a little gas into a can or something just to make sure the filter isn't plugged.

The last thing I'd do is take off the air filter and spray a little starting fluid in the carb. It may start and run several times if there is old gas in there somewhere. Remember the bowl on the carb is probably still full of old gas. After some fresh fuel reaches the plug it should start and continue to run.

(You might drain the bowl on the carb of ols gas before you go any further)

Good luck!

1984 corvette fuel solenoid

unfortunatly you are going to have to run new power and a new pump. a fuel injection pump runs 30 psi minimum some of them quite a lot higher than that. a carb cannot have more than 7psi without bypassing the float in it and overflowing the carb with fuel. when going to a carb you will have to get a low pressure fuel pump and completely rerun the fuel system
