P0685 fault code uk ford

p0685 refers to ECM power relay control---circuit open===causes--wiring--ECM relay
Replace this relay. Check the wiring from the coil to the distributor as there is a dead short after the coil somewhere for the fuse to blow and the coil to overheat.. You may have a electronic module failure either in the distributor or the ECM

I have a 1990 Chevrolet C2500 Pickup. It keeps blowing the ECM fuse. Its not the ecm, its not the fuel pump, its not the fruel pump relay. What else could blow the ECM fuse?. There is no visual evidence of...

if it is the ecm b fuse thats blowing i would try disconnecting your oil sending unit and see if it still blows the fuse.i have seen the sending unit short out internally before and blow the fuse.if it is the ecm 1 fuse it is either a chaffed wire or one of your injectors shorted.

I have a 1994 ford ranger that is blowing the fuse under the hood that goes to the ecm

Check for frayed or broken wires comeing from ecm if none replace ecm. make sure ecm ground wire is intact. (ECM is probably the problem.)

Injectors 1, 3, and 5 not firing.

With that many injectors not firing, I would look at the ecm or engine computer seriously.

I had a 1990 Cadillac Deville that after changing all 8 inj. and an egr valve, and other parts... it finally turned out to be the ecm not firing one of the injectors, causing a miss on an OBD-I automobile.

You could try to replace the injectors that are on 1,3, and 5, but it if that doesn't work, it's probably the ecm, in my opinion.

Was driving down the road and it all of the sudden started running rough, no vacume leaks egr vale is good but not opening, could it be the computer

ecm is way down the line of suspects, check plugs, wires cap, fuel pressure, injector signal, engine compression, water in fuel, to name a few

F250 hard to start once warmed up.

You may have a CTS (Coolant Temperature Sensor) problem. If the coolant level is low the CTS could be sending a false signal to the ECM or the CTS may be faulty. The CTS must be in coolant to provide an accurate signal to the ECM and if the coolant level is low then the ECM thinks the engine is cold and therefore provides a rich air/fuel mixture. This, in turn could be the cause hard start (evident by black smoke from the exhaust), and could be the reason the vehicle failed the emission test.

Keep blowing ECM fuse on 90 honda accord

I'm thinking the ECM is bad and grounding out, causing the car to blow the fuse. The old gas wouldn't cause this problem.
