You might have blown the hoses for the drain holes off... pull the windshield pillars in the interior off and inspect the hose....

Front passenger floor wet from rain, where is leak at?

Do you have a sunroof or moonroof? If so the problem is going to be in the drain for that sunroof or moonroof. If you open the roof, on either front corner you will see a small circular hole. Take some compressed air and blow it through each of those holes. You may see debris come out of the bottom near the back of your wheel well. Take cup of water and slowly pour that near those holes and make sure it goes through. Usually when that drain is clogged the water from a rain storm will flood into the passenger cabin.

MY SON IS GOING TO TRY CLEANING OUT THE DRAINS TO SAVE ME SOME MONEY ON 2005 NISSAN MARONA SUNROOF LEAK WE CANT FINE THE HOLES TO THE DRAIN LINES PLEASE TELL EXPLAIN TO US WERE THEY ARE LOCATED THANKS SO...

No need to remove the headliner. Simply open the sunroof and the drain holes are located towards the front on either side of the sunroof. Try using an old toothbrush to remove and debris or a vacuum cleaner. Once the holes are located, use a metal coat hanger to push through the debris on top. I usually use compressed air but the hanger will work. Also get a spray bottle with water to spray the holes. Once you see water dripping at the bottom of the vehicle you know the passage is cleared out. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Where do the sunroof drain tubes exit this vehicle?

There are a total of four drains, two front, two rear. The front drains empty out inside of each front door jam. The rear drains empty out inside of the rear bumper. If you drain holes are clogged, use an air compressor to unclog not other as you may either break the drain tube or wack it out of place. I believe there is a technical service bulletin for Grand Prix sunroof mdels 1998-2005, In your sunroof leaks, contact your dealer for more info. Take care and hopes this works for you.

Volvo s40 t5 2005, water leak behind the passenger seat

Most likely the sunroof drains are clogged. It happened to mine, the floormats and floors were soaked, especially behind the drivers side. Volvo wanted to charge me $550 to clear them out and dry out the floors. Instead I took it home, rolled down the windows, parked it in the sun and let it dry out. Then I found a mechanic who blew out the drains with compressed air for only $20. He had originally quoted me $50-100, but ended up doing it for less. He said the two back drains are clogged. You can try sticking a small flexible wire down the front two yourself, then pour water down to see if it drains properly out the bottom of the car. When I looked I didn't see the two back sunroof drains, but my mechanic said they were clogged with leaves, you might be able to clear these yourself too. I would have never guessed that it was the sunroof causing this, because you don't see the water leak around the sunroof, you only see the water backing up on the floor. Don't take it to the dealership, it's a simple job and they will rip you off.

Hi...you see..I have a 1990 740 turbo station wagon ...with sunroof that according to mechanic.. the rain leaks//because the sunroof's drain is clogged

This is easily fixed if it is in fact a clogged drain. Open the sunroof, and you will see a small drain hole at each of the four corners of the opening. The holes drain down through the inner body work, and the water leaks out through a bottom weep hole. Try pouring a few ounces of water down one of the holes, it should flow freely, and you will see it puddle under the car. If the drain is clogged or flows slowly, you must unclog it by blowing compressed air down the hole, or use a long flexible wire to roto-root the clog. Do this for the other three drain holes, and you should be ready for the next rainfall or car wash. While you are at it, clean out the weep holes at the bottom of the rocker panels, there are several holes on each side of the car. Good Luck.

06 hummer sun roof drain hose is draining into passenger side floor board, hose has come loose in front panel

doesn't mean it came loose, it could be plugged. Mine did the same thing. I had to use compressed air into the hole in the catch pan of the sunroof and blow the tubes clean, but then had to remove paneling around sunroof to reconnect tubes after the air separated the tubes from the sunroof. It was no big deal, but took a little time.

Water leaks into right side floor board during a blowing rain?

My 06 was leaking during rain also. It turned out to be the sunroof. There are two drain tubes in the front of the sunroof that run the water down the corners to the ground and two drain tubes that drain water out the back corners. The water would seep around the glass, which is expected, but both of the tubes on the front of mine were plugged, and the water would overflow behind the dash and fill my floorboards. If my H3 was leaning to the left during a storm then the drivers side would be full of water. If leaning right, then the passenger side. I had to open sunroof and blow compressed air into the drain holes to clear them, but be careful, too much air will separate tubes from sunroof and then you will have to remove the inside paneling around sunroof to get to tubes and reconnect. You may only have one side plugged. you can test it by opening sunroof and pour a little water in the small catch pan in the front of the sunroof and see if it drains as expected (to the ground under the firewall on left AND right side). You can see the holes in each corner of catch pan to drain the water. Plug one with your finger, then the other to find the plugged side. Good luck!! Hope this helps!!

Leaky Sunroof

there are 2 drain holes in the front of the channel towards the windshield when the sunroof is open. take a cup of water and slowly pour it making sure it is draining properly. if not, blow through with compressed air and retest. if it is the seal, you will need to call volvo to purchase the seal.

I N EED TO KNOW HOW TO CLEAN THE DRAINS IN THE SUNROOF

the drains can be cleared buy opening the top and locate the drain holes in the corners....use compressed air and a blow gun to blow through the drains. if problem comes back<sounds like your does> the drain hoses come disconnected or pinched closed, only way to access them is remove the headliner and you will see all 4 hoses, inspect them and make sure they are connected and not pinched closed
