Question about Dodge Neon
Hi, one of the best things to use is one of those scrapers that you can put a stanley blade into or you can just use a blade on its own as long as you keep it flush with the surface which is a bit difficult without the scraper attatchment.
how ever you can also use a good sharp wall paper scraper as long as its not damaged and is sharp, to get any other smaller parts of you can use a fine glass paper that you would use to smooth the cars body work.
so any sort of scraper will do the job how ever in the garage they use the scrapers that you can place a stanley blade into but if your carefull you can use the blade on its own just to scrape the old gasket off then you can finish off with the flatting paper or glass paper as its known you a fine grade such as 1200 and keep smoothing till the gasket is gone and your left with an even surface how ever you may not need the sanding paper as the scraper should be enough to get the gasket off.
let me know if you have any further questions or if you need further assistance ok
