Question about 2004 Ford Taurus
Gremlins? Wow, ok. This sounds like a problem with the Fuel tank but being this new you shouldn't have this. In the gas tank there is a baffle that keeps the gas near the fuel pump. I hate to recommend it but remove the fuel pump and see if the sock on the end has come free or if the pump has an issue with the safety switch. There is a switch in the pump that causes it to cut out if it detects the vehicle is inverted or side ways. That would be the only reason it would work when it's jacked up and not work when it is down.
