My 2004 Taurus has a rough idle. Plugs, wires, coil changed, running much better otherwise, check engine light off and has not come back on. Changed back to an earlier gasoline brand I was using before the problem started, used a fuel and oil additive for cleaning.

Have you taken a look at your fuel injectors? What about your fuel filter? Try running SeaFoam through your system to clean these components of guck before removing. The SeaFoam should actually clean your system and restore a smooth idle.

If you haven't changed the plugs/coils in a while, change them. You may need a tune up. Plugs/coils can cause fuel loss and rough idle.
