I have the same problem but I don't know how to reset it. Can you help me? What should I be looking for? Something that says reset? Or on and off switch?

I have a 97 honda accord lx. I replaced the battery brand new. I believe i have a white valet override button on my dash i hit on accident. Now when i go to turn my key to start the car all lights and...

Your connections are not good at the battery. Are the cable ends that attach to the battery clean? Are they making good contact with the battery. With the cables connected and after you try to start measure voltage by placing the test leads directly on the battery post. You should see 12.4 volts. Now place the leads directly on to the battery cable ends. You should see exactly the same voltage. If not it's the connection that are not good.

In my 1995 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.1L I just changed the battery, alternator, crank sensor, cam shaft position sensor, and my car service engine light keeps coming on i cant get it checked at autozone or...

What was or is the original problem?

You changed the battery, alternator, crank sensor, cam sensor. Why?

If you got no OBD1 Codes, why would you throw parts at it?

You could have used all the wasted money to get it diagnosed at a car care place (your words) in the first place.

Codes don't tell you what is wrong or what to replace.

You may want to include Auto Technology in your college coarses, and get a job as well.

Wrong terminal put on battery

The power trains engine computer is always on linked to the battery. You will need to replace that before anything else can be determined wrong or burnt out as well

Got a renalt scenic. key said change battery in the key and i did but it is still saying it.and cant open the doors or lock them properly

A common problem when changing batteries of key cards is that most people normally place the batteries the wrong way round, I've seen this before many times, removed the side key from the card and remove the battery and place it the other way round, if this still does not work then the card must be faulty, taking this into consideration your car will still start up even without a battery installed, the battery is only used for central locking.

On a 94 merc topaz, removed the distributor, did'nt mark it, turned over the engine now i cant set it properly to start the car. i have no timing light only trying to set it by removing #1 spark plug...

hi no your not doing it correctly, what is happening when you put the distributer at #1 it will rotate as you put it back in wich is knocking it off by about 10 to15 degrees, the best wat to do it, is psoition the rotor in the distributor to #1..then as you put it back in, make sure you do not have the cap on, you will see it move round to either left or right, past the #1 possition, ok, what you want to do is mark how far it is turning, then add that plus the same to the other side, then mark that, remove distributor and then place the rotor arm on that mark, place the distributor back in without the cap on, then hopfully if all is ok, it will rotate to #1 or approx, you can put the cap back on and try it, if it fails to start, just move the distributor as the engine is being turned, and it will eventually fire.phew...hope that helps
