Things you will need to do the brake replacement are :

  1. Lug wrench (or breaker bar and socket)
  2. Jack
  3. 13 mm socket
  4. Ratchet
  5. Flat screwdriver
  6. C-clamp
  7. Copper-based brake grease

last but not the least a new Brake pad.

Usually only Brake pads but since they are grinding you will need to have the drums turned. Changing the pads is pretty straight forward and easy. Remember to reset the tension to center when you put the new pads in and if either caliper is leaking at either end replace it. They are inexpensive and easy to replace. Sometimes the seals will break if the pads are worn too far. If you have lost any of the parts in the brake assembly, another common problem if a pad comes free, the good news is Auto Zone carries a brake assembly parts kit which contains all but the upper cross bar and brake adjuster, all other springs and clips are included. It cost about $12. If you have questions the Haynes repair manual has a very good illustration on how to fix these as well.

2000 dodge status non and I have brake pressure at right rear and left get nothing on other two have replaced master power booster lines wheel cyls callers and still no brakes have followed bleeding...

When you do a brake job with drums. You have to adjust the brakes by hand the first time. It doesn't hurt to put a little lude on the slack adjusters. Also if your reusing the brake drums, you need to grind or file the lip off the edge of the drum. this will throw off the adjustment.

Cant get spring of rear brakes to change them

There are brake spring tools that can be found at your auto parts store. I would use a screwdriver and long nose pliers when the proper tool wasn't available.

No brake fluid flow to right rear brake

the stratus is know for clasped rear brake hoses .This stops the flow off brake fluid. try opening the brake lines at the master cylinder that go to the rear.pump up brakes first! if you got fluid than check the brake line if this is rear disc brakes on the line at the rear will be a built in proportioning valve.if drum loosen rubber hose line before the rubber part to see if you have fluid. If you do replace the brake hose! On you 74 challenger by the way i love dodge! any way on the valve there is a small button on the front of the proportioning valve that pops out it needs to be tap in lightly. also hit the brake peddel kind of hard a couple off times if that doesn't work. thanks for your question

p.s that hex bar on the is a junction not a proportioning valve .

Antilock brake light on

Renewing brakes won't make the ABS light go off. There is a trouble code stored in the ABS module. Could be a bad sensor, or an unplugged one (broken wire?) which you might spot on the brake job. Some of these had the ABS module go bad as well, and this meant an expensive replacement. Check with your local Dodge dealer first. Even though the car is older and out of warranty, there still could be an open recall on a safety item like this, and Dodge would still cover it today. Also could be a Technical Service Bulletin on this subject that may help you. Dealer should be happy to look it up with your VIN # at no charge. They want your business, so they'll try to get it. THey have all the parts and tech. lit. so they are qualified! Get the code scanned, and cleared and see if it comes back if no faults are found with your system. Good luck.
