The water pump is usually mounted center, Front of the engine and is run by a belt. Look for the location the water lines connect to that has a pulley attached.

For the I6 engine, look down in the middle, big black pulley, your water pump is behind that. On this newer engine, there are no hoses going to it, like the old engines have. These pumps DO go bad on a regular basis, but normally after 100k. Just changed mine last night at 170k. Remove two top fan shroud bolts 10mm, remove electrical connector on drivers side of shroud. Take top radiator hose off of radiator, move it out of the way. Loosen, but don't remove fan clutch to shroud bolts 4ea 13mm. Using a fan clutch tool loosen the big fan clutch nut, take off. Then loosen the waterpump pulley bolts 4ea 12mm. Next, click the transmission lines out of their plastic holders near the bottom of the passenger side shroud. Next take the whole shroud and fan clutch up and out. This is the hardest part, 2 ways to do it to get past the radiator spout. 1- bend the shroud out and pull up. OR Cut notch in the shroud ( I did this) and pull up and out. With whole assembly out, use a 3/8" ratchet and put it into the tensioner hole and move clockwise to relieve pressure on serpentine belt, remove belt. Remove the pulley bolts, then, slowly untighten waterpump bolts and allow coolant to come out through the bottom. Remove pump 5 bolts. Reinstall everything in reverse order. Cutting the notch in the top of the shroud will knock a ton of time off in installation and re-installation. I just scored the plastic with a utility knife, then used dykes, popped right out in perfect size with one cut with the dykes.
