Hi
this may be because of the following reason
1.may be the connection to the starting motor may be disconnected so no power is not going to the starting motor.so the engine is not turning enigne for firing.

2.when you parked your car you might have kept your light on so which might have drianed your battery. the power required for radio wiper and light are very less so it may work but for starting the engine it is more. so the engine didnt start. recharge the battery and try starting.

if my answer was useful to you please vote me

Yes, it could be the Neutral safety switch. Try popping the clutch a few times. Push it in and let it pop out and make sure you have it in Neutral. Also, try jumping the vehicle. It is possible to have all the volts in the world and everything looks good but not have enough amperage in the battery due to a dead cell to crank the motor over.

My 2001 sunfire starts fine.but after i drive for about half hour it will stall and wnt start again for half hour.the oil light stays on when this happens.wassup with this?

This happened with my Sunfire. It was the radiator. The engine wasn't cooling, but the sensor wasn't showing that it was overheating. So the engine would start when it was cool, but as soon as it got hot, then if I stopped it wouldn't start again.

You would need to use at least 4 guage, but if you go to your local parts store and buy battery wire they typically come in one standard size. Thanks
