Question about 1995 Toyota Camry

1 Answer

I have 95 camry, it has power doors, power window, and recently i bought keyless remote for it, because it came with the key only, i was just wondering how should i program that to my car? they send me an instructions in which it indicates that i have to find ECU (engine control unit) and there is a button which needs to be used at the time of programming the remote, but the weird thing is that i can`t find that ECU, which suppose to be located under the driver`s seat.. any help please...

Look under the dirvers side seat for a black box. On the back side of tha box there should be a small hole right about in the middle of it. Use a icepick or awl and hold that button in while pushing the whichever button on the remote you want to have programmed for taht car. Wait for it to beep and you should be done. I think it is a long beep.

  1. Press any button on each remote transmitter to be programmed. The doors will lock and unlock to confirm that each remote transmitter has been programmed.
  1. If additonal remote transmitters are to be programmed, repeat Step 3 within 7.5 seconds or steps 2 and 3 if more than 7.5 seconds have elapsed.
  1. To exit program mode, turn the ignition to START or wait 7.5 seconds.

Contact the dealer for this information. they can help. Contact the person whom you bought the car from they should also be able to help. I can't give this type of information out over the web without knowing any more about your situation.

How can i tell if my 95 mustang has keyless entry when i got it I only had one key I seen some remotes online for sale and would like to get one if they will work

Keyless entry is the number keypad on the driver's door. It more than Likely that if your mustang has power windows, it has remote unlock via a key chain remote. You can get replacment remotes either at a dealer or online... they're not to complicated to pair up with your car.

Keyless remote

There are fuses - 10a "guage" fuse, 30a "power" fuse, 25a "door" fuse, and 7.5a "dome" fuse - but I doubt that those are the problem. You can check them anyway. Might be a problem for a dealer.
