I had a similiar problem with my 2000 Grand Prix, coming home from Michigan. It was found to be the Air Intake Sensor. It is located on the airhorn, between the air filter, & the injector intake. It cost me $360.08, just for the part. It tells the main combustion computer how much gas to give the engine, as to how much air is coming into the air cleaner. With the module bad, it is flooding the engine. Mine bucked me like a bronco for almost 40 miles, on an interstate highway. A 1 hour drive took me 4 1/2 hours to get home. It would be cheaper to have it put on an analyzer, because there are several components that could give the same effect. There is also an oxygen sensor, that is in the exhaust pipe, that could be bad.

1993 pontiac bonneville electric cooling fans relay location

Hi, check.........I need to know which fuse runs the cooling... on this forum thread. Its not a fuse if the fan turns but could be fan relay. Unplug the coolant temp sensor lovated just below the thermostat houing and see if the fans come on. If they do, it might be the coolant sensor that is bad.

Have a 1992 Pontiac Bonneville SE, runs

It sounds like your fans and sensors are workong like they should. The sensors work on temperature and should signal your fans to turn on between 109 and 200. They will stay running until the temperature drops back to that temp. You need to find out why your engine is runing warm, 210 is too high as a running temp. Make sure the cooling system isn't low on coolant first. If you still have the original radiator, it might be a good idea to have it flushed to clean out accumulated corrosion and **** . A "reverse flush" is the best. Your thermostat may be sticking if it's original. It has to come out for a reverse flush so make sure they replace it if you do that. It could be a collapsed hose. None of these things are overly expensive to repair but should be considered. I would try these first. Hope this helps.

Have a 92 Pontiac Bonneville SE, runs "warm" (over 210). Once the engine fan kicks on, it never shuts off. I've replaced the entire fan assembly but new fan started doing the same thing. Is there another...

good possibility your radiator is partially obstructed either internally (calcification blocking core tubes) or externally (leaves etc either in front of a/c condenser or between condenser and radiator). When that happens,(internal) heat transfer is lessened and the fan will work overtime to keep the temperature down. Flushing will sometimes help, but chems used are milder than they used to be and often will go around internal obstructions instead of dissolving them.
