Location of fuel pressure sensor on a Buick lesaber 1999

If your talking about fuel tank pressure sensor, it's in the gas tank. My info says you need to drop the gas tank. You would need to drain gas tank before you drop it. Take electrical connectors loose. Take fuel lines loose. Make sure no pressure on the system before taking any fuel lines loose. So on and so on.

Were is the pressure sensor

Can you explain what you are trying to find out. Pressure sensor?? Fuel in gas tank?? Not sure what you are looking for. If you are talking about the fuel level that unit is in the fuel tank and the tank must be removed to replace it. Hope this answers your question.

What does code PO453 mean

the evaporative emission system (EVAP) control system pressure sensor has sent high voltage to the ecm or engine control module and triggered this code either the purge valve located under the car by the gas tank has gone bad, or the charcoal canister has become gas soaked and is pressurizing from gas fumes, or the sensor or wires have shorted , there is also a secondary valve located und the cover of the intake that should also be checked for shorts that can trigger this code but usually it is the one under the car that goes out 9 out of 10 times it is from fuel being burped into the evap canister or charcoal canister from the gas tank which is caused from overfilling the tank or mid day heat of 90 or better with a full tank

Where is the gas cap sensor in the 1998 buick lesabre?

If your problem is pressure when you release the gas cap it could be one of several problems. The first two are easy. A fuel pressure sensor on top of the charcoal canister under the computer and air filter on thew drivers side engine compartment. The next is the purge valve located on the front top of the engine under the cover. A hard line runs from the purge valve to the sensor on the charcoal canister.

The third is the most difficult. It is the fuel tank pressure sensor on top of the fuel tank. I believe you will need to drop or at least lower the fuel tank. Not an easy task. I have heard some models have an access plate in the trunk under the mat but mine did not. All are under $50.00 ea. and readily available at your local parts store or online. It is very important you get this fixed asap as it will build enough pressure to find a weak spot in the tank and rupture it. That happened to me.

While it is not ideal, you can temporarily loosen the gas cap to where it is just sitting in the filler tube when driving until you can fix it. Then have your check engine light reset.

My 2001 saturn is trying to turn over and start but wont check engine light code p0452

P0452 Saturn Fuel Tank Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Voltage
"P0452 - Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Low Input. Evaporative Emission Control System Pressure Sensor Low Input indicates a low voltage problem in the Fuel Tankicon1.png Pressure Sensor (FTPS). What the fuel FTP sensor does is convert fuel tank absolute pressure into electrical signals and inputs the signal to the ECM/PCM, (Computer).
First thing to do is make sure the gas cap is good and tightened properly. Then check the vacuumicon1.png lines and wiring at the FTPS (Location-Fuel Tank) to be sure they are good, clean and tight.
Barring a wiringicon1.png problem it can be a bad FTPS or PCM.
I copied this blog on the code p0452. So, check gas cap, check vacuum lines from fuel tank and trace the lines making sure there is no break. check wire plug on the fuel tank pressure sensor.

Hard to start then when started over revs code reader says p0453 which is evaporative emission system pressure but cant find problem.

the problem is in your gas there is too much pressure you must change the pressure sensor in your gas tank. I think it will cost you like $200 just for the part.

the fue TANK pressure senson is on top of the gas tank, there is no pressure sensor on the fuel rail, you have to use a fuel pressure tester.

I have a code p0452 low fuel tank pressure. Is the fuel tank pressure sensor in the tank (fuel pump assembly)? is it changable by itself? Is the sensor bad or is it something else?

yes the pressure sensor in mounted in a rubber grommet on the top of the fuel tank. it could be the sensor but the only way to know for sure is have the dealer do a evaporative emissions fuel tank pressure test, they have the special tools to do this, outside shops do not. Have u tried a new gas cap, they can leak and cause the problem, in fact that is very common.
