Question about Chevrolet Aveo
My 2004 chevy optra won't shift out of park. The only way it does is if I press a key into the small slot near the gear shifter. I looked in the owners manual and it said to do this to be able to shift from P to D and then take it to a garage. I don't have the bread right now to take it to a shop. I think this might be related to a built in safety switch built into the transmition that I have tripped but I'm not sure. Any help would be appreciated.
Lol do the key thing then drive it around the block hitting the brakes till you stop then it should just slide in and out of park with just your foot on the brake pedal

I recently changed the 10 amp fuse inside the car, 4th fuse down from the far left, lablled cluster in manual and when I took it out I couldn't shift out of Park! When I put in a new one it was ok again!
Hope this helps
