It will be disc on the front for sure, but the rear can be either,,look threw the wheel at the front, and look threw the wheel on the rear,if you can see the brake pads, and caliper,,it will look like the front, then it is disc,if there is just a drum,it will just look like nothing,a rust color metal, that is all,if it is drum brakes on the rear.

Without looking I'm going to take a guess and say drum brakes but to be positive if you don't know what your looking for call the Dodge dealer and give them the vin number and they will tell You right away if you know what to look for just lay down and look behind the rear tire and if you see a caliper you have disc brakes if not you have drum brakes good luck

BRAKE JAM

If releasing the parking brake does not get the rear wheels to release, then you either have a parking brake cable that is badly corroded and sticking, or you have internal problems in the rear brakes like broken springs, etc that are jamming the brakes. You will have to inspect your rear brakes and paking brake cables to find out which it is.

You should be able to pull on the parking brake cable and get movement easily. It depends on if your Caravan is equipped with front disc and rear drum brakes or if it is equipped with 4-wheel disc brakes. If it has 4-wheel disc, then you could also have a bad rear caliper.

How do I compress the cylinder in changing the rear brakes of the 2008 dodge grand caravan

If these are drum (not disc) brakes, you should be able to just open the bleed screw a bit (on the back side of the backing plate), and push the pistons back in as you install the new shoes.
Bleed the brakes as normal when you are finished.

Looking to replace rear drum brakes on 1999 grand caravan with discs. What all will be involved? Is there a kit or do I have to order the parts seperately?

Check with an auto parts store for special tools.Might not be worth the time or money. Check with a specialty brake shop .

Passenger rear tire is locked up on 2002 dodge caravan

More than likely this is a stuck wheel cylinder. It is best to replace wheel cylinders in pairs however. Your best bet would be to remove all your wheels and tires and inspect the brake system.I hope I could help...
