Hi Friend:

Your Oil Pressure Sesor is Faulty or the Connectioons to it.

#1) The Oild Pressure Sensor is Located on Your Oil Pan,It has Wiring and a Gasket.

#2) You'll need to Drain about 2 Quarts of Oil before Removing the Sensor.

#3) In your Fuse Panel before Removing the Oil Pressure Swith Check the 15 Amp Fuse to see if its good,

#4) But Before you Remove it Make Sure its not just the Elecyrical Wiring not Properly Connected

#5) If none of the Above proves to be Bad The worst case it Could be is your Oil Pump pick Screen could be Plugged up.Or a Bad Oil Pump.

Please Let me Know how i've helped you,by Voting on the Quality of Help i've given you, And if you would a Short Testamony would be Appreciated,

Thanks For Using FIXYA From: d_hubbs

Check your oil pressure while the vehicle is running. If you are not getting oil to your head, you need a new oil pump.

Oil light, STOP coming on after turbo change.

Really depends on mileage and what the old parts looked like. If there was a lot of sludge in it, I would have warned you that it was a lost cause. Replace the engine. Could be a clogged oil sending unit. Replace it first.

Oil pressure insufficient light comes on with stop sign from my peugeot 406. lately, i changed the timing belt(cambelt) along side the valves and ever since, the indicator of oil pressure insufficient

the oil pump should have been PRIMED before running the engine , this is done by connecting a electric drill to the oil pump drive and run drill for 3-5 mins , this will pump the oil into all the galleries etc so when engine is started the oil is already around the smaller intricate areas , the oil pump alone will not always get to these parts after having the head removed , that is also the reason for the rise in temp

Oil pressure light comes on after engin fluid flush and oil sencer change what could be the problem

The oil pump is the next step.
It could be bearing or other things like blocked return flow that did not come out with the flush, bearings on the cam shaft etc.

I have a 94 geo prism lsi and we fix the distubutor change fuel pump and relay, car starts but oil light comes on now. I unplug the something plug located just to the left of oil filter. light still c

The something plug is the oil pressure switch. You can use an ohm meter to make sure the switch is bad. With the engine off you should have continuity at the switch and with the engine running the switch should be open. Hope fully your problem is as easy as installing a new switch, if this does not fix your problem you will need to hook up a mechanical gauge as see what your actual oil pressure is.

I changed the oil in my 20002 jeep liberty, and i have no oil in the filter now, it doesnt knock or ping, is my oil pump out? How hard is it to change?

Thundergod has a good answer to your problem....also with filter off disconnect fuel pump relay, crank engine a few revolutions to see if oil comes out....these jeeps are horrible for clogging especially if you dont use 5w20 oil...if oil comes out with clogs it is clogged but oil pressure light should be on although you cant always rely on idiot lights or gauges.dont forget to use a drain pan.

The oil warning light comes on and the truck want run then and it has great oil pressure and full of oil to,

Replace the oil pressure switch on the engine. They do go bad. also the switch is used to run current to the fuel pump upon starting everytime. When the oil pressure reaches normal pressure the computer shuts it off and the sends a signal to the fuel pump relay to take over running the fuel pump
This oil switch has three wires attached to it

The oil pressure on the instrument panel registers low when coming to a stop, then "CHECK GAGES" light will come on. When I accelarate the oil pressure will raise to normal level.

this could be a fulty oil pump or a very dirty oil filter and or oil,,,i would give the car an oil change and a new oil filter and then see what it runs like, if its still very low try a new gage if its the same reading its the oil pump or the engine's bearings are worn out,
