Check for dirty battery cable ends, and if this is o k,then replace the starter, tapping on the starter while trying to start the engine will confirm this solution. If the starter turns over and starts the car doing this, replace the starter.

Some cars have a solenoid on the starter (looks like another starter bolted to the back of the main starter motor) It is usual that this is faulty. There are refurbishers who can replace this saving about 2 thirds of the cost of replacing the whole starter
Good luck

Where is the starter located on my 2003 Buick LeSabre?

You have triggered the security system. Try turning the key to the ON position without starting. Wait 10 minutes. NO LESS. Turn key back, then try to start. If that doesn't work, you may need to bypass. http://diy-gm-security.com/

Turn the key all lights go on but nothing happens when you try and start it

1. Make sure your battery is fully charged.
2. Check connections from battery to starter relay.
3. Make sure you have voltage going to the start side (small wire) of the relay with the key in the "start" position.
4. If you don't have voltage going to the start side of the relay (small wire) with key in the start positon, then your starter switch is faulty (under dash usually mounted on top of steering column).
5. If you have voltage to the start side of the relay (small wire) with key in start position, and it don't click when trying to start your car, then the starter relay is bad.
6. If your starter relay clicks, but engine don't turn over, then the starter is faulty.

My buick lesabre is having problems starting. the battery is charged, the lights come on when i turn the key but when i try to start it all i get is a click. what is the problem and how can i get to where...

Typically a battery can power the lights, etc. and still not start the car when it is "bad". The clicking is the starter not getting enough juice from the battery. Jump start the car and go to an auto parts store and get the battery checked. I suspect it will need replacing. In my 2002 the battery is under the back seat but there is a jumping post under the hood.

My car wont start but all lights and dash come on

Lisa, how long was the key in the one position? For the heck of it, put the car in neutral, and try to start it. It's possible the neutral safety switch is bad, which could cause the problem. It should start in neutral if that's the problem. Let me know if this works, if not, I'll help further.

that sounds like its the ignitionswitch is going bad on the car or its the ignition its self. it could also be a loose wire going to your starter.
