You will have to remove the actuator motor and stick something into the hole for the vent door, and turn it until it opens, and tie it off to keep it there.

My 1996 Cadillac deville a/c only blows in the in the defrost side. Off and on blows through middle vents, but mostly in the defrost vents.

Blend door accuator? Need to look it up but that's a common FAIL in most newer vehicles. My truck did the same thing. It controls air movement from top, middle & bottom. There's 5 actuators I've found in my truck! I'm no expert in this area, but have replaced all 5 of mine due to failed plastic parts in the accuators.

If your heater is electric control then you will have accuators that open/close then vents when you change the temp settings. If this is the case you will need to determine what accuator is out to replace it. Most vehicles will use the same accuator, meaning, if your car has 3 accuators then most likely all 3 will be the same, but not in all cases.

My remote for my 1999 ford explorer sport will open all doors except drivers side. what is causing this problem and how do I fix this.

Most likely your accuator is bad, every door has a accuator which is the electrical part that makes the door lock operate, this is very common.go to a junk yard and get one for allot less money.
To replace the accuator just take the inner door panel off, you will need some kind of a light for this but the accustor is on the left side on drivers side right side on passengers door, you will see the accuator which has a hook on the end of the unit,by the way the accuator will have a rubber sheathing covering the body, some fords have a small clip on the end of the hook on the accustor, remove the clip, unplug the accuator replace the new part. This is a good place to start.

Where is the fuse box located in a 1996 jeep grand cherokee? For the dash. The automatic windows, locks, gas gage and speedometer do not work.

The fuse panel is found on the passenger side of the vehicle. Open the passenger side door and you should see a "fuse access door" on the side of the instrument panel/dash just under the vent.

Depending on the model, normally there is a door at the center of the air duct for the AC. It should be found underneath the dashboard at the center. Normally when the motor of the door is faulty you would not get the correct mix or will not get a constant air temp blowing on the two sides. Have the motor checked out. The other scenario is the thermostat or the temp sensor found near the same location towards the evaporator or the part where you can see the coils if you remove all the cover. Inspect the wiring to that part make sure that there is no exposed wire or loose wire. Either there is an issue with the wiring or the thermostat has gone bad. A bad thermostat would mean no signal to the AC which activates the door to send the correct air temp.

Heater control 98 chevy s10 blazer

These trucks have a problem where moisture builds up in the heater box then freezes. When this freezes and you change your heater settings it breaks the shaft for the blend door. If this is what happened you should be able to look under the dash above and to the right of the gas pedal and you will see two vaccuum accuators one of them you should be able to wiggle around the linkage if it is broke. To fix this you need to remove the entire dash to get the heater box out which involves discharging the AC and draining the coolant because the heater core and evaporator come out. Please rate.
