Sounds like you may have a anti-theft problem. if you can, find someone that has a code reader and see if there are any theft deterant codes in your body control module.

My car hard start then dies after few minutes in idle

Sounds like a fuel problem. Dirty fuel. Or a leaking return pipe. Possibly a blocked tank breather

Car dies when i turn on headlights

Have a load test done on the battery as it sounds like the battery is failing and the extra load from the lights is taking the power from the ignition system and so the coils fall below operating voltage and so no spark. Also alternators need some voltage from the battery to start charging and if there is insufficient voltage from the battery it won't work

The motor completely dies approximately one or two minutes after startup. I just have enough time to pull out of the drive, get into traffic, and it dies. I doesn't do this every time, just...

have car scanned if possible! to find problem code.but it sounds like a bad crank sensor. if it fails the symtoms are, the engine may start, but it will cut out in a few minutes. or seconds of operation, it controls the timing. it will cause car not to start back up for at least 10-15 minutes. have car scanned first.

My car doesn't start

The out-of-gas/added-gas bit is coincidental. You've lost charging, and so you're only driving on what charge is in the battery. That's why it won't start without a boost, and (since the battery isn't made to drive the car, just start it) why it dies after a few minutes.

If you're lucky, it's just that the alternator belt is broken or slipping. If the belt is in good shape, then your alternator has failed, possibly because your voltage regulator has failed.

You're probably looking at $300-$500 for a rebuilt alternator installation.

Good luck!

Runs 1 hour dies let few minutes will restart then repeats same.

Sounds like your ignition coil is going bad.  I believe you can have those checked for free at your local auto parts store.  When they start to go bad they will fail on you when they get hot but once they cool down they are good to go again.  Let me know if you have any other questions.  Thank for rating my response and for using FixYa!
