Your best bet is to look for either Carbide tipped drill bits or Titanium drill bits. The broken round file is most likely hardened steel.

Water leaking into boot

Look at the seal closely. If you see where it comes threw. I cut there with a razor blade and fill the inside with cotton. Then silicone the cut. Let it set an hour before closing the boot. If you have a brake light mounted in the boot. This is usually where a lot of water will come in. I silicone them in also. Spoiler on the boot, I remove them and silicone them down.

2007 Nissan Altima driver side stripped lug nut, now shaking every direction the other 4 come off fine but this one just shakes and when you turn it just turns but won't loosen or come off! How can i get...

You will need a nut splitter. It is a device you put over the nut and tighten it with a ratchet wrench from the side. it will tighten and the two hardened blades on the sides that. will bite into the nut and hopefully split it , If you have a carbide blade mini hacksaw and room to maneuver it , which I doubt , you may be able to cut it off. Good luck. You will need a new lug to press into the back of the spindle plate. That is your cheapest expense.

Where to sell carbide scraps ?

Carbide Recycling Company located in Walled Lake, Michigan is looking to buy carbide scraps.

These are good honest people, but note that this is a legit scrap dealer. Cash in more than $500.00 worth and if the check does not go to a business you will get a personal 1099 and have to pay taxes.

You should get $9.00 to $10.00 right now even if its just 10-20 lbs. Heck, I'll pay ya $8.50 for clean if you cover shipping.

Lots of under the table local dealers out there if you want to play this game. They all pull some percentage off the top to "wash" your money.
Up to you if you want to try to scam the IRS. My volumes are too high to even think about trying this.

Wherever you go shipping can kill you. Keep this in mind

To get the best price your scrap should be "clean". Wash the parts in a bucket of soapy water, no mixed in steel or screws. If it's dirty real dealers will deduct some weight.

Quoted prices are for carbide, not packages, unpackage any tools before shipping or the dealer will deduct a tare weight (and they always err in their favor).

Carbide with braze attached yields a lower price tag, currently 9.00 per pound.

If you are sitting on very large weights sorted by grade you can negotiate slightly better prices directly with some of the major carbide suppliers but this will vary highly depending on what they need on any given day.

We are at record highs in the market but I'm gonna wait as next year looks very interesting and I'm not sitting on that much.
I've had as much as 40 tons in the back room when I played more in this game.
I've also been burned seeing the price drop from $7.80 to $3.20 in two months. You place your bets and you take your chances, but there is not that kind of volatility right now and nobody the size of the China "big three" to come in and flood the market.

Need to remove sticky residue from rock saw interior

I would use some sort of degrease product in the system to remove the oil residue . I believe that if you read the instructions it would say when cutting rock use only water to cool the diamond blade . Cutting oil is used only on certain metals to lubricate the saw edges and teeth as well as cooling and never in a concentration above 25% as it affects the cutting ability of the blade. For example concrete cutters use diamond saws and tap water when cutting

How do i cut cast iron pipe grey

you can get a steel cutting blade for a handheld circular saw and use that if you have room.. beware of the sparks also..this looks like a flat grinding wheel and runs in place of the sawblade.. it will cut through most very careful as it will spin very fast so hold slow and steady when cutting with it..

How to cut blower motor cover on 2000 astro

There should be 5 clips on the blower acoustic cover. Use a razor blade or box cutter to cut the acoustic cover etween the 5 clips. The cover is for noise reduction only and does not have to be reinstalled if you do not want to mess with it. Otherwise, I would recommend using some black silicone to hold it together where it has been cut.

Diamond blade with diamond center no adapter?

Easiest solution is to get a blade that matches your arbor. It really isn't worth the effort to modify your saw to accept the diamond shape blade you currently have. Most D-I-Y centers and tool shops have what you need.
