Blazer service engine soon light reset

If it is an early blazer, pre 1996 and has the OBD I system, you can reset the computer by removing the positive battery cable and touching it to metal or 10 seconds to ground the system. Then hook it back to the battery and if the light comes back on then you need to jump the "A" and "B" terminals to read the code. If your blazer is 1996 or newer then you will have the OBD II system and will need a scan tool to reset the light.

Just reset computer on my car so engine light would go off, took it for inspection, said the obd connecter could not read it

there are several different cables needed to read all the OB1=2 systems so I would find some one who knows how to hook your vehicle up to read the codes.

OBD 11 scanner reads from 1996 to later models, your car is obd 1 and needs obd 1 scanner there is other way but for that you need the automobil manual repair.

Dash icon in chevy balzer 2000

It is a Check Engine Light, meaning youe ECM (Computer) in your car has found a fault (Trouble Code) with a component or sensor in your engine. You will need a OBD II Diagnostic Scanner to be hooked up to your Diagnostic Port located inside your vehicle under the driver's side footwell to scan the stored codes so that your mechanic can determine a solution to the car's problem. You can go to your local AutoZone store and they can hook up a scanner and read your trouble code for free so you have an idea what is wrong with your vehicle. You can click on the link below for more detailed information.

Reset engine warning light

To reset the Engine Light, you'll need a OBD II scanner. It cost about $100.

Or, you can go to you local auto-parts store. Most stores will turn the Engine Light off for you for free using their scanner.

In my 2005 honda accord check engine light come on i went to mechanic and he reset the light after few days light come agian

Your check engine light means that your computer thinks that there is something wrong with one of your systems. It is producing a code for the problem, but you can not read the code unless an OBD-II scanner is plugged into the OBD socket under your dashboard. Autozone, or another of the same sort, would be happy to hook their scanner up to your car and tell you what the computer is saying is wrong. There is not charge.
Hope this helps you.

Where is the obd receptacle located?

you can also read the OBD system by using the check engine light itself, simple rotating the key on and off will cause the light to flash. the exact number of times to rotate will be found in a repair manual. P.s. the OBD connector is under the steering wheel

1999 ford windstar check engine light

had the same problem with my 1999 Windstar. The part's store told me that it's on the same fuse as the ignition switch. So I ruled out a fuse issue because everything else on my ignition was working just fine. They suggested I run a new hot wire to the connector. That didn't sound right to me. A couple of weeks later my alternator went. After I replaced it, the OBD II now reads just fine.
