Have it scanned so you'll know which system is causing negative performance issue. 2000 models have issues with the MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor, temperature sensor, pre-cat converter 02 sensor and a second gear grind with it's 02J transmission to name a few.

A faulty injector will cause a misfire for thatr specific cylinder and will cause a check engine light (MIL) and store a P030? DTC in the ECM.
I don't quite get what gears kingnvr is referring to that wear out, I hope it's not the transmission. Opening the trans will set you back $1300 parts not included.

Hi...

this is because of the 1.faulty injector/unclean injector.try the engine after cleaning it.
2.the gears connecting the wheel may have worn out so the transmission of power may be reduced.try changing the gears.

if you are satisfied witth my answer please vote me.

go to the vw dealer and tell the service advisor you want them to "reset basic settings on my transmission". i used to be a tech at a vw dealer and this fixes about 90% of all transmission shifting issues. they will charge you iether .5 or 1.0 hrs labor for this although it only takes about 5 minutes.

I have a VW Golf 1.6 FSI 05 Reg, some times it drives like a dream and sometimes it feels like is struggling with loss of power, also, I lose power when the blower is switched on....help!!

could be numerous of thing and the list can go on, especially at times it run like a dream than other time it run horrible. Go to auto zone and have them plug it to computer for free and see if will throw a code, this way it will narrow it down instead of guessing and buying parts hoping that will fix the issue, this can be very expensive and there is no way to test the parts, beside checking the basic, plug, wires and coil. the computer will help narrow it down than guessing. then re post and one of us will try to walk you through it.

VW Bora wiper problem

Have you checked the wiper motor and linkages to make sure they are properly lubricated? Take care to keep your fingers clear of the (hopefully) moving parts! Your typical can of maintenance spray might get them going initially, but grease is really needed in the long run. D.
