You don't state if the truck cranks or not I assume it doesn't since the starter was replaced. You need to check the solenoid and see if it gets current when the key is turned to start. If it does, does the current go thru and to the starter. If not replace the solenoid. If you get no current to the solenoid check the nuetral safety switch or clutch switch and see if the current goes to the switch and then thru. That will tell you if a wire is broken or the electrical part of the ignition switch or the safety switch is bad. Good Luck!!

What year model S10 2.7 liter V6 would fit a 1988 Mazda b2200. Or what would be the best V6 to put in with the lest trouble

From what I understand, the Ford Courier/Ranger uses Mazda engines. You need to find one of those for your refit. The Chevy uses an Isuzu engine. You will have trouble mating the transmissions and mountings otherwise.

The firing order of in-line 4 cylinder engines is the same (for old car models) of Chevy, Olds, Pontiac, Dodge/Plymouth, Datsun/Nissan, Honda, International, Isuzu/LUV, Jeep, Mazda/Courier, Mitsubishi, Opel, Toyota and VW.
"Always check the exact firing order of your engine. It is is generally stamped or cast on the engine's intake manifold, valve cover or cylinder head."

2.3 liter 4 cylinder Ford computer not starting engine

check your fuses also youll be suprised. The alternator runs down the battery if its bad or it could be the starter and ect. A multimeter would be something you could use also to check battery and the wires.

What is the firing order for a 1984 ford bronco 2

1-4-2-5-3-6
Now you need to know which cylinder is which. If you stand at the front of the truck looking at the engine, the number 1 cylinder is on the left closest to you. The left bank has cylinders 1-3-5 and the right bank has 2-4-6. So number 1 is at the left front and number 6 is at the right rear.

Starter

You can get the starter for around a hundred dollars from AutoZone if you turn in the old one to avoid the core charge.  The started is relatively easy to replace and will have 2-4 bolts holding it in.  Then you just have to plug it back in to the wire in the car.  Shouldn't take more than 30-45 minutes.
