Is it oil,or anti-freeze?if it is oil,check the valve cover gasket,if it is anti-freeze could be several things.start the motor and try to see wear and what is leaking.

CODE NUMBER 456

EVAP emission system (small leak detected during vent closed test 1) error;
This is usually a broken line somewhere. Sometimes it's the connector on the EVAP canister itself (large plastic canister with two ports and hoses coming out of it). Unfortunately, when I smoke test these, it's usually bad news (the large hose running back to the fuel tank from the EVAP canister has a pinhole leak in it). Holes as small as a human hair in diameter will set this code. Check the large vacuum connections on top of the canister to the throttle body. Check the canister itself, if it's cracked, it must be replaced. If all that tests out, have the system smoke-tested for leaks. Replace any hose that fails the test. Clear the condition and turn off the MIL. Drive the car for twenty minutes to see if it comes back.

Generally when you see white smoke from the exhaust, the engine is burning coolant.

If you are running black smoke that usually means there is oil and gas mixing together too rich. You probably have a seal somewhere that is gone in the engine.

To fix this try to make the gas mixture a little less (you can change the amount of gas going to your truck, but its better someone who knows what they are doing to do this. You can also run a thicker oil, and possibly put in some oil fixer you can buy stuff at canadian tire or something like that which goes in with the oil and it will help seal cracks and holes in the motor.

Sounds like a head gasket....if there's white smoke fcomming from the tail pipe, that's your issue. Usually a 1500.00 fix

The original motor in my 93 grand cherokee 5.2L seized in June. I bought a good junk yard 5.2L motor from a 98 Grand Cherokee and swapped over the 93 intake and all related electronics. The engine is back...

are you sure those intakes are inter changeable?
if you still have the 98 intake and your 93 block ,sit there and look for any differences in holes or hole locations.
another way to check is when it is running remove the oil fill cap and see if it stalls or picks up speed.
