No seal that can do it, sounds like you have a bad caliper or brake hose.

Po301 number one plug on block 2003 ford windstar v6

the code means a misfire has been detected it could be a few things so check for (a) take out the plug/s and check the boots for cracks by flexing the boot back n forth and by squeezing it the littlest crack will leak voltage from + to the - and thus a misfire (b) a antifreeze leak that is running down into the cylinder will show a wet plug === instant misfire (c) to much dielectric grease on the plug wire boots will liquefy and run down the plug from a running hot motor====instant misfire (d) cracked insulator on the plug (porcelain white part)====instant misfire(e) plug wire insulation is burned or melted ==== instant misfire (f) coil towers has a hairline crack here's one /or the plug is broken on the inside you must use a magnifier glass to find them and this is best for all crack finding issues anything you suspect in the slightest crack is definitely the cause (g) dirty injectors will do it too so you see it's not as easy as you may think please post back with progress and all symptoms still present after work done I'm a 40 year taxi/regular mechanic and every thing will be done for you till we get there even at 3 a.m. we'll get to the cause stephen

1998 dodge dakota overheated was ran hot lost all power an shutdown

When an engine gets hot, you must shut it off before it gets so hot that it begins to lose power. Sometimes this simply can't be done safely. Once the engine gets so hot that it shuts down, permanent damage may have be done. Bearing can gall, piston rings can break, piston crowns melt, but usually the oil breaks down and the main damage is to bearings and perhaps the crankshaft. Diagnostics would include changing the oil, attaching a good mechanical oil pressure gauge then spin the engine with the spark plugs removed to see how bad the damage is. If oil pressure is adequate, run a compression test. This should give you enough information to decide if the engine can be saved without a major overhaul. Low compression can mean blown head gaskets, warpped heads, broken piston rings, warpped valves, etc.

My 2003 Chevrolet cavalier drivers side tire is ssmoking and water dripping in side my front passenger side what do this mean

I\'ll treat the 2 problems separately, then as a unit. 1) Smoking tire. You have a really bad out of aligned tire. It scrubs the pavement and starts smoking. Have your rim and suspension on the corner checked at a quality shop. 2) Water inside passenger side. Do you smell antifreeze? This means your heater core or the hoses to it are leaking. If it\'s plain water and only leaks when raining your windshield seal is gone or the seal around your door. There is also spot and parts at the firewall where stuff can break and allow water t splash in. Now together. It sounds as though someone (you or someone else) drove your little car and "curbed" it really bad and has done significant damage to the front suspension and probably "racked" the body which would break the windshield seal. That is why I don\'t loan my car to anyone. The one and only time I did got broadsided. This was in 1973.

How to remove the rear brake drum on a chev 3500 4x4

Unless this truck was designed different from all the rest? It should be has simple as pulling off the tire and tapping around the back edge of the drum and it should pop off. Be sure emergency break is off, because that will spread the shoes making the drum wedged on. You did say drum, correct? Because if you have rear disc breaks? Pull tire and remove housing (two bolts) holding the break pads. You may have to stick a pry bar between the rotor & caliper to depress the caliper piston/s. A 350 truck probably has 2-pistons on the caliper. Also. get a couple finger visegrips to depress the pistons all the way down before trying to reinstall the break-pads. This way you don't have to bleed the breaks when you are done. just remember to pump them up a few times before you take off to drive. they will come right back up and should work perfectly.

Loud sound coming from back of tiburon, gets louder at higher speeds

Run the car a few miles then Check all wheel bearings, this can be done by putting your hand on each wheel hub and if its hot that's the one that needs new wheel bearings. its a cinch of a job!

2003 F150 Regular Cab: I own a 2003 Ford F150 4x4, V6. While driving home...

You would want to check the rear seals & bearings and the differential to make sure the carrier clamps are still in one piece ( think that is what they are called, traps the axle in the diff to stop them from sliding out ).

Depending on the millage you might want to just go ahead and replace them. You need to drain and open the rear diff to release the axles, so a full rear diff service would be done at the same time.

This is a write up on changing gears, but gives you an idea of you want to do the job yourself

The parts are the cheap part of this, the labor can be the killer.

I have a 2001 Pontiac Montana. The driver side brake light melts

Make sure your useing the correct bulb and its pluged in the right way, if your sure of that, than check your ground a poor ground could do that, when there is a bad ground, it will travel thru the positive to find a ground maybe overloading it. There is a chanse it could be a bad break light switch. You can chk. that by applying the breaks for a little wile and let off and feel the switch and see if its excessively warm or hot.
