Gmc sierra problems

Now check if the vacuum operated doors work when you command various vents. There should be a vacuum line from the intake manifold that goes through the firewall and into a pod-like device on the back of the controls. From there vacuum lines run to the various doors. See if you still have a vacuum signal from any of them.

Check gages light

I would bet on it being the sensor. The sensor sends the signal to the computer and from there to the gauge and light.

What is a transcoolent line?

A Transmission Coolant Line is 2 Lines running from your Transmission to the Radiator 1 line is where transmission fluid goes into the radiator and the #2 line is where it returns to the Transmission, A Automatic transmissions Fluid can Run 400 Degrees or More,The Lines are to Help keep the temperture of the Fluid in your Transmission at a temperture that does'nt exceed the specifications of your transmission operating temperture. Prevent Over Heating and that would result in a Excessive Tep that would cause damage to the Internal Componets and your Front and Rear Seals. NOTE: Some Vehicles Trucks that Tow a Heavy Trailer or something else have a ADD on or some come from the factory with a Truck or SUIV that has a TOW Package on it, if this has this option the Transmission Lines will not go through the Transmission they will go to the Optional Transmission cooler ,thats normally located in front of your Radiator for much better cooling ,it actually works like a Radiator it has Fins and tubes with a Inlet tube and a Outlet tube. This is a Much more effficent cooling Component for your Transmission. Hope i have answered your question. And given you the Help you needed. Thank You.

Where do i put the transmission oil

The transmission fluid is added through the same location where the dip stick is located, using a funnel add the transmission fluid, allow the vehicle to reach operating temperture, and check the level while the vehicle is running.

When cold transmission shifts thru all gears, but when it warms up it wont shift past second

If it shifts normally and then it warms up and goes backwards OK and the check enigine light works and isn't on while driving the trans has the right fluild and it's not low then the trans has bad troble. If the check engine light is on find and fix the reason Speed sensers Theres 3 leaks burnt fluild correct and see if its fixed the engine needs to run right and hit the right temperture as it runs. otherwise an expensivew rebuild is next or a used transmission.

sounds like the gauge and sensor r workin properly....but you do have to address that coolant leak...that causes your temp to fluctuate cuz you cooling capacity is being reduced
