The headlight dimmer switch is located about 1/2 way down the steering column. it is attached with 2 screws and is adjusted up against a rod that goes up and into the steering wheel housing. Tip. take a large plastic wire tie and secure the rod before removeing the switch so the rod stays in place when the switch is removed. after installing and adjusting the new switch just cut the wire tie and discard.
good luck. P.S. the ignition switch is in the same location. its the switch with only one black connector going to it.

1994 Chev Silverado, when switch to high beams headlights cut off, switch back to low beam they come back on. replaced headlight switch about 2 months ago. what could this be?

Hello check when the high beam is on pull the bulb and check to see if you have power or not i have had this problem before and some trucks use a ground to turn them on and some use power the switch could be the wrong one and you might have to add a $6 relay to set a ground so you don't have to replace the switch again

I have a 2001 Silverado. When the high beams are switched on, the low beams go off and frankly the road is dark but the trees look good! Is this correct or do I have a faulty switch on my steering co

You are correct! When the high beam is turned on the low beam should still be active! What type of bulb are you using? Are the high and low beam from the same bulb or separate!

Low beams don't work; High beams fine. Not the

the high beam switch is at fault
A new one is needed
The directional lever you pull up on to switch to high and low connects to a rod which is going to the high beam switch at the mid section of the steering coluum. It is a headache to change for your on your head replacing this part

1994 Mercedes c280 high beams not working...

At first 1994 C280 high beams began to not connect regularly when stick pushed forward, then not at all. Drove high beams by pulling and holding stick back towards steering wheel until that stopped working, too. Shop said the turn signal switch was at fault-- had seen it many times before with W202; about $160 to replace. Haven't done it yet, but should be an easy fix?

1994 ford f-150 with day time running lights headlightnot working

Daytime Running Lamps
The daytime running lamp (DRL) system is designed to turn the high beam headlamps on, with a reduced light output, and without illuminating the high beam indicator lamp in the instrument panel. You have a DRL Module.
The multifunction switch is the stalk on your column.

This is 96 F150 circuit. Don't have 94.
