Re: How do I change the front Buld ( not the Headlight)
Just go to your local auto parts store and look at their reference book for cars. Your Saab 2004 should be listed as such.
If you don't know how to do this, ask the salesperson for assistance. I'm sure they will be more than happy to assist you.
The bulbs are like bulbs in a house, except, instead of screwing them in several revolutions like a screw, you pull it out of the socket until it is released. And, you release the socket from the headlamp assembly by twisting so many degrees (not necessarily in this order).
Some places like Walmart charge a nominal fee, like $2 to $7 or so to do the service.

owners manual will show you how replace headlight bulb.but wear clean gloves when handling and installing new head light bulbs. because oils from your fingers or hand could cause new halogen bulb over heat blow out besure wear clean gloves.
Open the hood. Behind the headlamp assembly there is a wiring harness. Turn this harness and pull. The bulb should come out attached to the wiring harness. Remove the bulb and install a new one. Twist the harness back into the locked position.
If you are replacing the headlight bulbs and just a short time their bad again you need to change your techniquie in installing the bulbs. You can't touch the lens of the bulb with anything ( not your finger) or the bulb will overheat in operation and burn out. with the old bulb out and the pulg laying out to where you can get it or someone else holding it. Open the package the new bulb comes in so just the plug end sticks out of the package. holding the bulb by the package install the buld into tne socket and them hold the socket only to put it into the back of the headlight with out running into any thing as touching anything can cause the buld to fail/ If the light fixture is getting water or dirt inside of it it will need to be repalaced.
I am assuming you mean the headlight buld since they are the toughest. The procedure is in the owners manual, but it is not easy. You need to
turn the wheels in (to right for drivers side) and then shut car off.
Then you will need to loosen the inside front wheel well, which is
plastic, until you can bend it out of the way enough to reach inside to
the bulb. The bulb twists out with a 1/4 turn to the left and then
unplugs. Just a hint, make sure that the gasket comes out with the bulb
and that you only use one when you reinstall the new bulb. Fog light bulb is replaced the same
there may be some 10m bolts in top panel to remove then u will see 2 metal bars sticking up they slide up to unlock then headlamp assambly pulls out front then u twist lock colar around bulb retainer to unlock and pull buld out back be careful not to break plastic on retaing ring or it will need to be replaced
okay, I have a 94 Camry and I imagine it's the same way. Open up the hood look behind the headlight and locate the bulb actually the buld holder then twist it the holder to remove it and the bulb. Then just pull the bulb out. When replacing with a new bulb people recommend wearing gloves as your hands shouldn't touch the neon bulb as it leaves oil on the bulb. Just plug the new bulb in put bck in place and turn to secure it.
You should be able to access the buld holder from the rear of the headlight. It's a nylon bulb holder with a lock thing on it. You squeeze the lock part and turn it counterclock wise, and it should come out. Remove the old bulb and install the new one being careful not to touch the glass of the new bulb with bare fingers. The finger print you will leave can cause the bulb to prematurely die on you.
