Question about 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT Minivan

1 Answer

I have a Dodge Grand caravan 2007. The air conditioning system does not coo. I took it to Goodyear and they said the rear condenser need to be replace since all the refrigerant leaked. Since the cost is high ($650 +) I want to do it my self. In order to do so I need to: 1. Get a manual which describes how to disassemble it (Looked in Haynes manuals but did not find a manual for 2007, the manual for 2006 do not discuss read evaporator, also tried Dodge- they do not offer any support) 2. Which Gas should be used (probably R-134a, but I want to be 100% sure about it) 3. Is it possible to repair the evaporator instead of replacing it ?

I think you must be talking about the rear evaporator. your vehicle does not have a rear condensor. the condensor is in front of the radiator. the rear evaporator is in the rear of the van and the whole hvac housing needs to come out to replace the rear evaporator. I would definately verify the part you need to replace before continuing. It seems strange that a rear evap unit is leaking on such a new truck unless it was in an accident.

You'll have to replace the evaporator if it leaks. The part is kind of expensive but is available aftermarket. Use 134A. I can likely post the removal procedure.

My front air bower for my ac stopped working my rear ac works I have a 2007 grand caravan help air blower or compressor?

if you have cold air in the rear then it isn't the a/c compressor. if no air comes out of the front vents the it is either the blower motor or the blower motor resistor.

Air conditioning in my 2002 dodge caravan not working properly. When I drive runs slow and when stopped the car stops the air conditioning too

have you had the system check for proper pressures and if it has air in the system or a leak causing low pressure in the system.this needs to be checked out by a shop that does a/c work.

Good Evening. The location of the fan motor relay on the 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan is behind the grille right on top before the air conditioning condenser. I hope this helps with your location, and if you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

Looking for tires for my 2007 dodge grand caravan. Most 90% of my driving is around town. Need a tire that handles rain and snow and would prefer a quiet tire.

The only tire I would recommend as an all season tire would be the Goodyear Assurance Triple Tread, they're supposed to be good for light snow, summer, and winter...

Caravan air filter

The air filter for the cabin is located inside the van, look under the glove box door there should be a plastic holder that slides to the rearward of the van pull this back and a flat plastic door will come off, the door is two parts.

Some base vans do not have this filter if you look at the bottom of this and see a 1/2 long plastic stud sticking out of the bottom there is no filter in this.
