Have someone turn the engine over with the distributor cap off distributor. See if the rotor is turning while someone is turning the engine over. If not turning ck timing chain or oil pump / distributor shaft which is driven off the camshaft which is driven off the crankshaft by the timing chain...JD

Hi...
1.try checking the clearance in the spark plug if you have insufficient or more clearance you wont get spark check this.
2.check the wire coming to the spark plug.if power is not coming to spark plug there wil be discontinuity in the wire try replace it.

if you get the information which you needed please vote me by clicking the thumbs present in the underside of the page.

Turns over will not start. have alread changed the spark plugs dis. cap and rotor. Could it be th coil? or a fuel system problem?

First check for spark at any of the sparkplugs. If you have spark then it is more then likely the fuel pump. You can'nt check the fuel pressure unless it is running. The fuel pressure is suppose to be 38-44 with the engine running.

1999 chev blazer won't start new fuel pump

So, do you hear the pump buzz on, when key is on? If that's good, then check your ignition circuit: check for spark at a plug. Use insulated pliers, hold end of plug wire 1/4 inch form engine bolt or ground source. When cranked, you should see a bright blue spark. Yes? Try another plug wire, too. No? Try another plug wire. If you have NO spark, could be your coil, coil pack, crank position sensor, ignition module. I would recommend using a diagnostic flow-chart to go through the ignition circuit. That way, you are not replacing unecessary parts_Expensive! Of course, if you have spark at plugs, your ignition circuit is good! Then you have to look further, like your injector circuit. Good luck.

Looks like you've covered the basics, make sure the firing order is correct with your spark plug wire replacement. Hope this diagram helps.
