Question about 1994 Plymouth Sundance

1 Answer

My Plymouth sundance 1994 2.5l Auto seat belt will not move. The light stays on the dash board, and when i run my blower to high or to much current, my speed gauge goes to zero and the mileage stops counting? Any ideas

It starts fine, i replaced the fuse, Maybe the motor is blown, would that cause the gauge problem with the air blower?

Hm. auto seat belt not moving points to a burnt out motor or a fuse is blown.

Have you had the starting and charging systems tested by Sears or Walmart?

How does it start?

Fan Relay 1994 Plymouth Sundance

Hi Eric:
Blower Motor is usually only in one of two different locations... the first is on passenger side, access under the hood or, second choice, under dash access behind glovebox.

In both cases the resitor will be in the duct that the blower motor blows through.

Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I'll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Thank you for using Fixya, and have a nice day.

Iam looking for the location of the blower motor resistor in a 1990 plymouth sundance. Do you know where it is located?

To access the blower resistor, carefully pull down the lower right under-dash panel.(Below the glove box) it it will be right next to the blower motor in the heater housing. it has a plastic connector with a few wires running to is, and 2 bolts holding it in the housing. I hope this helps

I have a 1994 plymouth sundance when the fan is turned on the temp, and fuel gauge peg out (read maximum) the volt gauge reads zero. Also both green arrow turn singal indicators on the dash light up. ...

this car is obd 1 so your would need to have a scanner that connects to OBD1, the caonnection ie under the dash, but is diffrent from the newer cars with OBDII, this problem sounds like a bad feed due to a short maybe in the blower resistor or the heater controls, i would start with the resistor then work my way to controls take a good look at the fan switch, hope this helps.

Driver seat belt worn half way thru .engine just started to idle high. door lights stay on,it is a 1992 4 dr hatch back w/70000 mi

I'm sorry, what is your question?

Your seat belt can be replaced - the seat belt has nothing to do with the engine idle, or the door light. The light stays on because the door switch needs adjustment or replaced or perhaps it has beenturned on by the light interior light switch that controls the dash board lights.

70,000 is not a lot of miles.

I suggest you have your vehicle tuned up aat a garage to fix the high idle and assure economical operation. That same mechanic may be able to advise you on the light and how to replace the seat belt. Your car may be running fast because of the cold weather to warm itself up. I dont know where you live.

The front lap belt will not automatically retract for a passenger to be restrained. How do I fix? This is on a 1994 Plymouth Sundance.

well first you go to the local salvage yard with your trusty wallet then after paying 20 - 50 bucks install new one from salvage
once you take the seat belt assembly appart it is dead there is no fixing it properly or safely
they are designed to save your life dont mess with somthing you are un sure about

check the belt isnt folded anny where b4 you buy a new belt though
