2002 Chevy Tracker will not idle

I have a 2002 Chevy Tracker that will not idle correctly. It does not do it all the time. Sometimes when you slow down it will die completely. Otherwise it runs fine.

I would start with a new fuel filter and some new spark plug wires.

I have a 2002 Chevy tracker. It's been running hot on the temp gage. So, I have changed the thermostat and replaced the radiator hose because of corrosion but it still overheats and when I turn on

If there is cold air coming out the heater than there is air in the system. After you replaced the thermostat did you run the engine at idle with the radiator cap off until the engine came up to operating temp? Doing this will purge the air from the system.

This is caused by one of the things you already replaced , including the A/C compressor and power steering pump. Or it could be from a wrong size or over stretched belt.
