Question about 2004 Chevrolet TrailBlazer

1 Answer

2004 Trailblazer - Clicking problems with heater. I also had a problem with a clikcing noise in the rear passenger side. I took out the fuse for the AC from under the rear seat fuse box and it stop clicking and of course I do not have AC anymore. I have not had the time to solve this problem yet, but now I am having a clicking problem in the dash of my vehicle and pulling fuses did not work, to find the isolated problem. I took the dash apart and it seems to be coming from heating system behind the stereo. I unplug the wiring harness from the temperature selector and it stopped clicking. So now I need help trying to solve the problem. I have got the noises to stop, but need some help as to what the real problem is and what I need to replace. Not for sure if a relay switch that needs replaced or what. Has anyone had this problem and have a fix for it. my email address is arobinson@crweng.com thanks

You have bad control actuators. Not sure which one. You have one for the modes and one for the temp. Same on the rear. The gears strip in the actuators.

Clicking comeing inside near passanger rear turn signal

That is one of the actuators in the rear HVAC unit. Sometimes the door that they drive gets stuck or the actuator itself goes bad. In the picture below #3 & #33 are the two actuators. Replacement of #3 is not an easy job.

AC issues

The problem is either an actuator or the door associated with it. Sometimes the gear strips, especially when the system goes thru a recalibrate after power has been removed and reapplied. Below is a diagram of the locations of the actuators.

Where is the steering column fuse panel located

The Trailblazer has two fuse panels, one is under the hood on the driver's side above the wheel well, and the second panel is under the rear passenger seat on the driver's side.

I just got stuck twice in two different icy parking spaced with my 2004 Trailblazer. The front tire was on dry road, and the indicator said it was in 4 hi. Why was the rear driver-side tire spinning? Is...

Unless you have a locking differential in the rear, then the drivers rear would just spin, and the passenger side rear would do nothing. Now on the front, the passenger side front is the power wheel. If the passenger side front wasn't spinning either, then you may have an actuator problem. The other problem too look into would be the TCCM (transfer case control module) could be going bad.

2004 chevy trailblazer ext. Clicking noise coming from right rear panel in car at start up. It clicks like 8 times and stops, then 8 times and stops. It will do this several times then stop completely....

Did you recently replace or disconnect the battery? Common problem is for the airflow actuators to go out and make that clicking sound in the rear when the battery is changed or disconnected.

Drivers side window switch not working on 2005 trailblazer .passenger and rear window switchs work but none of the drivers side switches will put rear ,drivers or passenger side down. problem with switch?

the drivers door switch is most likely bad, they get used the most and wear out first, the connector on the back of switch may have come loose and not making good electrical contact, remove switch and check connector and if still not working need new switch, the windows are all on same circuit and either all work or none work so not fuse. extremely rare is a short in wired but not likely.
