The most common cause of the AC no longer getting cold is this model is a leak in the AC system, and the system has lost all or most of its charge of R134 refrigerant, simply putting in more will only result is the very expensive R134 (about $30 per charge) leaking back out, in order to diagnose the leak requires special testing equipment and tools, so this is best left to an automotive AC repair shop or a dealer, one the problem is diagnosed u can do the work if u fell u are qualified to repair the car

My 2005 ford free star. When I turn on m heater it only blows heat on the right side and cold air on the right side

There is a module that controls hot/cold direction flow, which does go bad. It's called a Heater Blend Door Actuator, and It's a bear to replace it, but doable. Not too expensive to do it yourself, but you _do_ need to be sure you're buying the exact replacement. You're best bet is to remove it before buying the replacement. The photo of the replacement is all you need to see you're buying the right one. Ford used different models in the same vehicles.

There is air in the brake system and must be bled. They have devices for bleeding the system...basically you need to replace the air with fluid. Hope this helps !

Where is the cabin air filter found on my 2005 freestar.

it is in front of the windshield where the air is pulled in, just run the blower on high and listen.

Stops and goes

Check to see if the gasket between the windsheild and the plastic shroud is sealing tight to the glass. If it is not then the problem is that the plug on the PCM is getting wet and causing your problem. Have your Ford garage look at the TSB's on your Freestar and they will fnd the one that Ford issued long ago on how to fix this problem. After they do the Ford fix then get some sealent and glue that little rubber strip to the windsheild to ensure that the water can't get in there anymore and this will probable solve your problem. It did on mine.

Air conditioner will blow but not cool

You could check for a bad relay in your engine compartment, fuse box or the AC on/off switch is bad
