Question about 1989 Audi 200

My 89 audi w\turbo runs great for 4-5 miles,then

My 89 audi w urbo runs great for 4-5 miles,then it starts dogging out and kills,let it sit for 10 mins and runs again.i changed fuel pump twice in tank,filter,coil.today i felt the wires to the fuel pump and they were warm.drove it 4 miles at 55-60 and killed.i noticed the fan that cools the injecters was on.maybe im looseing volts to the pump.somethings goofy

1989?? have a funny feeling it could be either crank sensor or the ignition module ,pretty basic vehicle electrics in them days
