Question about 1986 Mercedes-Benz 300
I am sure you have disconnected pipes and they are old and now with the pulling off they are porous so the pump cannot **** up fuel as its drawing in air .When i do this job which happens about three times a month i connect a electric pump to the fuel line and **** it all out ,then refit the pipe and then add the new fuel and prime it up and away they go .So i can only assume that you have given them old pipes a good pulling and twisting and now they are porous .Renew the flexible pipes and try again ,if any more problems getting the fuel copntact me again and we will go through it again
