It would appear that either a part of the wiring under the seat has chaffed or your the switch itself is malfunctioning. Try to see if it occurs when you hit a bump or road joint next time.

there may be a software issue, there is a reprogram for seat heater issues. Bulletin 05-08-50-008 may pertain to that, a AC DELCO Shop or the dealer can ck that and see if this bulletin applies.

you have a couple of problems first of all your drivers sd=ide heated heat pad is probably faulty, for your heating problem you may have to get the hvac doors recalibrated.

When this was happening on my Envoy it ended up being the seat heaters control module that was going out. About $600 a seat on mine. Just wish my repair center found that out before they replaced the seat heaters twice.
