With out checking it myself, could be a freon leak or a bad a/c compr. anywhere from $150.00 - $1200.00, a/c compr been the worst, best thing to do is take it in for an estimate, and get back with us so we can tell you if there trying to get over you or not.

Depends whats wrong with it ,compressor ?? expensive but it could be just a wire loose that makes the compressor clutch work .or even a fuse

Ac compressor making loud noises and my instrument cluster all of a sudden quit working

Get out your owners manual and locate the power relay for the AC and remove it, this will stop the AC clutch from engaging the compressor, note, AC is used in winter to help remove moisture when defrost is on you may have to roll window down to prevent fogging, also check for blown fuse in manual bet you find one for instrument cluster, good luck,Bret

You'll have to figure out what is failing when it quits working.
A mechanic would check for power at the blower motor and resistor.

Rear AC blows but front doesn't blow at all. It just all of a sudden quit working today. Also when the AC was working up front the car would act like it was going to stall out and has actually died on...

Sorry no quick fix here as this gas is highly toxic and poloutes the ozone layer so take vehicle to a specialist AC garage who can then vacate the system and then check the front ac unit expansion valve or the restrictor valve if you call it that

AC & Fan stop working all the sudden

First, check the fuses for the fan, AC and climate control. Could be just that simple. Otherwise, try swapping out relays with the same type by removing one from another device in your power box under the hood. Be sure you use the exact same numbered relay!

I ad this problem fixed and it cost $35. Apparently, this happens when the Freon level is low for some reason. They refilled the Freon and now I have AC on both sides. Don't forget to replace the internal filter in the glove box.
