Question about 1998 Volkswagen Jetta
I have a 1998 Volkswagen Jetta GT that was given to me from my dad. Recently, it has not been starting when its hot (usually above 18-20 degrees Celsius).
I got the OBDII scanned because my Check Engine light has been on too, and it said something about the Cam Shaft Sensor, so I dont know if that has to do anything with the starting problem.
I've filled the coolant, turned on all the interior lights, turned everything on inside (the radio, signals, headlights, A/C, fan) and still nothing.
Here are the Stats on my car:
- 1998 VW Jetta GT 2.0L
- Manual Transmission
- 271, 000 kms
If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Michael .
Get the camshaft sensor replaced.this should cure your bad start problem, its not an expensive part, and the car can be scanned after for any other faults.
