Question about 1990 Dodge Dakota
Starter is on the left side of the motor
disconect the battery
raise left side of truck up
place jack stand under it
remove the 2 starter wires from the starter
remove the 2 15 mm bolts from the sterter that holeds it to the transmission
remove the starter
reverse this to install

If injectors check out electrically but are dirty, sometimes depending how fouled they are adding a few ounces of acetone (3oz per 10 gal gas) will help clean them up. However, if you have a poor spray pattern from wear, replacement is necessary. I have seen some really nice "home made" injector testers but haven't really seen anything you can buy to do that job. Since they can't be "repaired" generally it's just better to change them if you don't believe they are working properly. (generally after testing all related components and having those check out as good)
