Blocked Weep Hole: Hello. I have a 2000 Ford Ranger xlt and water collects on the passenger side floor. I was told the weep hole for the a/c condensate is likely blocked. Can someone tell me where the weep hole is and how best to unblock it? Thanks.

The AC evaporator/core condensation drain tube is located on the passenger side of the fire-wall towards the bottom of the fire-wall, (it resembles a heater hose that is coming off from the fire-wall and it connects to nothing, and it is just to drain the AC condensation) and it is easily viewed from under the vehicle. Use long pipe cleaners folded in half to clean out the AC drain, and be very careful that the AC evaporator/core, or the heater core is not damaged from using any hard or sharp objects to clean out the AC drain.

Ford engine diagrams

You did not specify which ENGINE your F-150 has, but I'll assume it's the 5.0L V8 (most common). The 5.0L only has ONE "weep hole," and that's at the base of the water pump housing where it mounts to the front of the engine block. There is no other "weep hole."

Leaking coolant and antifreeze

Have you checked the water pump? It has what is referred to as weep holes (2). Just before failure in a water pump, it will leak antifreeze out one or both holes, usually the bottom hole. Also, check passenger floor for dampness, which would mean heater core or heater core hoses are leaking

1990 ford ranger 2.9 litre. coming home from shopping & starts to overheat, lots of steam coming from just under the a/c compressor very close to water pump. coolant visible on that side of engine but...

Ford water pumps have a "weep hole" on the bottom of the water pump. When the bearings go bad the coolant will weep from there. Also you may just need to get in there with a flashlight, probably from underneath the truck and see exactly where the steam is coming from. Check all the heater hose attachments and the radiator hoses. If you are lucky it may just be a worn out hose.

I havea1998 dodge neon and water is coming in the front passenger side how do I fix it

The weep drain hole is probably blocked up at the firewall. Try to blow it out with compressed air or pick out the dirt or debris from it using a small screwdriver.

My 1982 ford f150 is leaking from the water pump over flow why and what to do to stop this. the fluid is also a brown color.

If you are referring to the weep hole in the bushing that the shaft comes through, this is the primary failure mode for water pumps. Once the packing comes loose in the bushing, the pump must be replaced. If this is not what you were talking about, please reply.

Leak to the passenger side floor board.

there idef. a drain for the water and is located below heater box on pass. side under vehicle. usually rubbertype hose with sort of closed off end maybe 2" long. (sometimes they are hidden, look carefully) i use shop comp. air to clear but a straight piece of wre may be just as good. also consider replacing cabin air filter behind glove box. probably restricted as well

No, what you're seeing is the weep hole leaking on the water pump. This is the warning sign that the water pump is worn out. Don't use any stop leak or anything to attempt to stop it. You'll be waisting your time. You'll have to replace water pump at this point.
