Hi...

this is because
1.your cooling fan which cools the engine may be reduced its speed due to agening. please try to service the motor and try driving it.
2.the radiator may be chocked so the coolent passing through for cooling the engine may be less.
3.the coolent level may be less which is not sufficient to cool the heat produced because of it.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Certainly possible, but very unusual.
Normal life is around 60,000 miles but of course driving highway and no city traffic would extend the life.

How can you tell if the timing chain on a 96 4X4 Rodeo needs to be replaced?

I have a 1997 3.2 L Rodeo. This vehicle, and yours too actually uses a rubber timing belt that is suggested by Isuzu to be replaced every 60,000 miles.

It is not a difficult process, and takes about 6 hours to complete.

1997 Isuzu Rodeo 2wheel drive. Repalced

Get a Beck Arnley alternator. The auto-zone, Napa etc. alternators are a problem for Isuzu's. I worked at a dealership and a lot of them came in for this problem. If you still have the original have it rebuilt. Check yellow pages.

1997 Isuzu rodeo-dashboard light/air cond, heat not blowing

Easy fix. Usually the blower motor resistor gets messed up. (Page 3-8 Haynes manual 47017). The dash light could be a few things. All my bulbs went bad. Little bit of a hassle but no problem with the book.
