It's possible a bearing in one of the pulleys is going bad. Open the hood, if it gets louder than you know it's under there somewhere.
Also, check for any loose vacuum hoses, large and small.

Are you having any driveability issues with the engine? Like surging or stalling? If you are that could mean something more serious is going on.

Also, the belts could be slipping if it's a high pitched whistling sound.
Changing the belts might solve this problem if they are loose or glazed.

Without being there it's tough to know what the sound sounds like, I admit.

I think it has something to do with my AC because my AC/heat panel has been going off and not working and when I turn up the fan it seems to lessen the sound a little bit.

I would charge the air conditioning system with a can of r134a that has a few ounces of a/c oil in it. It might quiet the compressor down. Otherwise, I think it may require another compressor.

How much can that cost me, do have an idea?

If you purchase a can with the hose on it, you can get one for $23 to $30 depending on the size.

It hooks up to the low side port of the a/c system and is injected while the vehicle is running.

You can also get an r134a recharge kit which costs about the same.

Go to your local auto parts store or Walmart and look in the auto chemicals/oil/additives section.

The compressor replacement is a bigger job, maybe $300 or so.

1998 Honda EX Accord - has had a loud humming in the front - sounds like the tires but tires are new. Sound gets louder when I speed up and when I slow down. Could it be the wheel bearings need to be...

The symptoms match those of wheel bearings getting worn out. One sure way to determine it is not coming from the transmission is by taking the vehicle to a decent speed, say 35 MPH ,and put it in neutral. If the humming continues unchanged, then it comes from bearings, and if it drops, then it might come from transmission or engine. 135000 miles is way over the life expectancy of a set of bearings.
If the bearings are starting to fail, they produce a high pitch sound, almost a whistle, and if they are almost gone, they produce a deep rumble. High speed turns might subdue the sound, or make it worse, depending on if you take weight of bearings, or increase it.

2004 honda odyssey making whistle noise

I know this original question was written quite a few months back but I was wondering if you ever found out what the high pitch sound was. I just purchased a used 2005 Honda Odyssey and it is doing the exact same thing. Any advice?

Indicator lights with high pitched squealing sounds.

check the alternator drive belt,it may be loose and squealing.
the alternator itself could be also making a noise.
start the car with the hood open and listen to it.
look if the belt is cracked, loose or wet from oil or water etc.
things like thermostat housings leaking coolant can cause something like that.
