Hey hows it going mate,

First you need to remove the door trimmings and the handles etc, then once you are under the door trim, remove the plastic cover and you should see the regulator and window glass.

Dosconnect the wiring from the switchs and motor, then unbolt the 4 - 6 bolts which you will see clearly attached to the door skin. As you unbolt these you will see the motor come off first then you can unbolt the actual window regulator.

You will have too deatch the glass from the regulator slide and then slide this out the top. Al that should be left in the door is the regulator, remove this out the side of the door through one of the holes under the door skin.

The reasselmbly is the exact opposite but when the window glass is fitted back to the regulator slide make sure that it is centred.
Then bolt it all back up but not tight so that te regulator can find it's centre. Connect the wiring and wind the window up.

Once the window is up ensure that there is no stress on any parts of the motor or regulator assembly, then tighten up all the bolts.
Retest the window goes up and down smoothly then refit the door skins, handles, and switchs.

Hope this helped, let me know if you need more information.

Keep in mind that the only special tools you may need are torx bits, some cars have phillips heads screws and some have torx, BA should be just screws I think easy enough to do (page from repair manual).

Undo screws that hold plastic door trim on, couple on the side, couple on the bottom, one behind opening handle under a cap, unclip cable remove handle and 2 behind big grab door handle, pry off trim to see.

Pull cover towards you it is held on by pop studs all around.
Wind window 3/4 down if it still works
Unplug mirrors and electric window switch (or rest door trim out of way without unplugging)
Peel back foam, remove large block foam

There are 2 white plastic bits that hold winder to glass, these unclip by levering with 2 screwdrivers. Hold or sticky tape/jam up Glass full up so it is out of the way and wont fall down

Undo 3 10mm bolts for motor, a couple at bottom and a couple at top for track, unplug wiring and unstud clips and remove

To put back together reverse; hope help with this.

Most likely you need to change it to a new one, depending on what is wrong with it, as if it is just the motor, you might be able to get it rewired, but if it is the gear system than you need to get a new one or second hand and replace the faulty one.

The procedure to replace power window regulator is as follows:--- 1. Remove door trim. to remove door trim you will have to remove screws .That will be behind the outside edges and door handle.
2. The door glass will get loose. So for safety reasons.Tape the door glass to the door .
3. Then remove the two bolts that attach the door glass to the regulator.
4. Then disconnect the power motor connector.
5. Then remove the 4 bolts that hold the regulator to the door.
6. The regulator will come loose.
7) Carefully remove the regulator and replace the regulator .
8) connect all the parts in reverse order to re assemble the regulator.
Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

OK Your regulator and motor asm. is not servicable. More than likely, one of the wire roller guide pulley's has desenigrated or broken and the wire is fouled up. You will have to replace the entire assembly. I would suggest buying the new regulator first. This way, you can see the whole assembly you are going to replace. Its not really difficult to do. The most important thing to remember is the glass itself. If it drops suddenly, it can break. You can use duct tape over the top frame on both sides of the glass to hold it up while you swap the assembly. You will see access holes in the door panel close to the top to get to the nuts on the window frame studs to remove the regulator. The window will be down about 2-4 inches from closed to access the nuts. The rest of the assemby un bolts from the panel. Look at the new one and you'll see where they are by using it as a template, so to speak. Most of the nuts should be the same size...10mm I think.

Well I would need more info as to the problem to be certain. Whether or not it is repairable will depend on the current problem. If it needs replacement I would check with a local parts house and compare their price to an online source such as Black Ridge Customs at www.black-ridge.com They also may have a direct replacement. The actual replacement is not real hard if you have the proper tools and are accustomed to body work on cars. You will need to tape the window up and remove the door panel for access. It generally takes a special tool to remove the door panels without breaking them pesky little plastic clips. Either way your local parts house should have the tool and replacement clips.

The motor has to be unbolted while the window is supported up, then simply put the new motor in and reconnect wires.

Sorry but these new cars use a complete unit for the window regulator so changing it is the only option ,they are not expensive say around the 80 euro mark ,to change remove the door panel and look for the three bolts that hold the motor on then the bolt top and bottom of each lifting guide rail ,now some pattern parts require you to chop the connector off the end and join with screw type connector for the wiring but its not a difficult job for a home owner to do ,best adviceis to remove the old one then take it with you to the auto factor so you get the right one .

Here are instructions to do it on an F-150 but I couldn't find the instructions for a Ford Falcon specifically on my online resources, yet.

http://www.fordf150.net/articles/idx.php/0/019/article/How-To-Repair-the-Power-Window-Regulator--Motor.html

It should be similar, but not exactly what you need.

Good luck on findiing, it though.

Here is an example of an electric window from a 1974 Ford Torino:

    Front Door Electric Window Motor
    REMOVAL & INSTALLATION

    1. Raise the window to the full up position.
    2. Disconnect the battery ground.
    3. Remove the door trim panel and watershield.
    4. Disconnect the power window motor wiring.
    5. Drill 3- 1⁄2 in. (13mm) holes in the door to expose the motor attaching bolts. Refer to the illustrations.
    6. With the bolts exposed, use the suitable tool(s) to remove the bolts.
    7. Push the motor outward to disengage the motor and drive assembly from the regulator gear. Unplug the wire harness from the motor assembly.
    8. Remove the motor from the door.
    9. Install the new motor and tighten the bolts to 50–85 inch lbs. (5.6–9.5 Nm). The new motor kit will have plugs to fill the drilled holes.
    10. Connect the wiring and install the watershield and trim panel.

Repair it - no. If it's defective it can't be repaired, it must be replaced.
To replace it it's quite complicated so you should buy a repair manual and follow it to the letter. Here is the best

If you would have went to a library and took a look at the book i suggested for you to buy you would have noticed that the procedure on how to remove a window mechanism is spread on 3 pages - far too long to be described here in a few lines. Add to that the fact that it's very easy to break the door trim if you go at it blindly.

Buy the book , it's cheaper than to fix your errors.
