Question about 1997 Nissan Pickup
The switch for your brake lights is located near your brake pedal,it is usually a spring loaded switch that comes out when the pedal is pushed & the pedal pushes it back in when it is released, this switch may have come loose & is active all the time, you need to make sure that it is pushed hard up against the brake pedal & tighten the adjusting screws to lock it in position, check that your stop lights come on when the brake pedal is pushed in....hope this helps....cheers

I have a 1997 Nissan Sentra GXE, 1.6L. My brake lights stay on all of the time, so I had to disconnect the wires so I doesn't drain my battery. Also, when I turn on my head lights, there are no running lights, including the brake light still doesn't work! Do you think my brake light switch is bad? Thanks, Joe
